Wait, before you think I’ve completely lost it by suggesting you smile at everyone, hear me out.
(I, of course don’t want you to get called out) 😅
A smile is more than just an expression.
It can brighten someone’s day, soften tensions, and even change how you feel internally.
Think about it: when was the last time someone smiled at you? Didn’t it make you feel lighter, even for a moment? That’s the power of this simple act.
It’s step 1. Because let’s face it, making direct conversations can be difficult at times. But a smile? That’s fairly easy.
I work out of a coworking space, and I can’t even begin to tell you how many incredible people I’ve met and how much I’ve learned from them—all starting with something as simple as a smile.
But here’s the thing: a fake smile is easy to spot. People can sense when there’s an agenda behind it, and trust me, they don’t like it. You wouldn’t either.
And the funny bit – A smile is free—you don’t have to pay for it.
So, why not try it? That one small act might just change your life—and someone else’s too.
PS: Context matters! I’ve seen people get into trouble for smiling at a funeral, so be mindful of the moment! 😅
